Job Description
- Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g. LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, design and orders.
- Provides in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and design for telecommunication infrastructures.
- Provides interface support to end users, operations personnel, and strategic program management.
- Develops project schedules, timelines.
- Leverage experience across the Center, Group, and external offices.
Position Requirements / Qualifications / Skills
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of the Agency enterprise video telecommunications infrastructure.
- Excellent understanding of multiple VTC architecture and hardware.
- Ability to design/deliver custom video-based applications.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN protocols and technologies.
- Working knowledge of Customer’s organization, internal policies and procedures.
- Ability to implement business process and workflow into custom solutions.
- Knowledge of H.323 and SIP protocol implementation.
- Willing to “go the extra mile” ensuring that time critical requirements are met.
- Prior experience working with multiple government organizations.
- Ability to work as part of a team of very strong personalities in a very dynamic environment.
- Highly mission-focused/oriented.
Desired Skills
- Previous overseas travel experience.
- CISCO Video, Polycom, or equivalent certification.
Additional Requirements
Additional Technical and Specialty Training/Certifications Etc.
Years of Experience Required: 6+.
Education Level/Major: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
Professional License or Certification: CISCO Video, Polycom, or equivalent certification is highly desired.
